A mountain resort 25 km - north of Yogya. 900 meter high on the slope of Mount
Merapi one the most activate and destructive volcanoes in the world. Merapi is -
Java's most potent mystical symbols of life and is truly one of the world's most
beautiful mountains. It was revered understandably for centuries as a
spectacular sight no matter how many time you see it. For a break from punishing
tropical heat of Yogya, race up to the quiet highland resort of Kaliurang only
one hour by car on good road. refreshingly cool, one can easily spend several
days here relaxing.
Day 01. Escorting to Vogel Home Stay(B, L)
Picked up at your hotel lobby in Yogya or Adi Sucipto airport, and direct drive
to Kaliurang Mountain resort. Stay overnight at Vogel's Home Stay with simple
but clean, Accommodation including dinner.
09.30 PM : Pick Up at Your hotel
10.00 PM : Proceed to Selo Village for starting the trekking
Day 02 Merapi Trekking. (B, L)
The next day at 03.30 AM you will start your trip accompanied with professional
guide of Merapi. You will explore the depths of Kaliurang tropical rainforest. A
five-hour return walks through the rainforest, through the valley, gorge and
river to slope on meeting Merapi. Also see original and real village life, where
people carry their loads on their back while at work. Experience a variety of
tropical plants and fruits, birds, giant spider, unique vegetables and the
beautiful landscape in the cool mountain air. Breakfast will be served in the
small bamboo hut., outside the village nest to the riverbank in the open air
overlooking the mountain. You wil return again at 09.00 am. After taking a rest
for a while, you will transfer to your hotel in Yogya or transfer to the airport
for flight home
01.00 AM : Starting for midnight trekking to peak of Merapi Mountain (Puncak
‘Garuda”) accompanied by
professional guide. Trekking to reach the top of this mountain is about 4 hours
on foot
05.00 AM : Arrive at the top of Merapi “Puncak Garuda” and enjoy the sunrise
view while having breakfast
(pancake) at Puncak Garuda
07.00 AM : Start for descending the mountain
11.00 AM : Arrive in Sello Villages
12.30 PM : Back again in Jogja and transfer car - having Lunch at local
restaurant
13.30 PM : Transfer back to your hotel

Wake early morning at 04.00, your will be picked up by our guide and driver then
directly drive to Borobudur temple, breaking the morning scene. Climbing up the
temple for welcoming the sunrise that will give you a spectacular moment. Then,
explore the temple for its great history and philosophy. Before rejoin to your
coach - enjoying your simple breakfast at Manohara restaurant. Afterward visit
Mendut and Pawon temples near Borobudur. This tour can be combined with Losari
